Aquifer Characteristics/Water Quality Models

AQTESOLV, AQUACHEM

Models are used for various purposes including design of hydraulic control systems and contaminant capture, natural attenuation assessments, landfill cap design and closure development, and environmental impact assessments for projects involving hydrologic and wetlands/riparian corridor issues. Models for regional hydrologic and contaminant issues are commonly critical components of litigation and mediation for regional issues. By developing accurate, defensible models ART has been able to significantly reduce the scope of remedial actions and also name additional parties responsible to participate in clean up programs. Thorough investigation of the source area, timing of the spill, historical changes in property use, ownership, or management may also be key indicators that can lead to multiple party responsibilities.
